Manor of Groves Hindu Wedding

A day full of fun for Anj & Druv and all of their guests. The day was packed with smiles and joy which can easily be seen in the photos.  Situated across 150 acres of serene Hertfordshire countryside, Manor of Groves was the ideal Indian Wedding venue for Anj and Dhruv.

The incredible architecture and swoon-worthy grounds are the perfect backdrop for an Indian wedding photographer to take beautiful couple portraits. The main room is full of natural light, and the bridal room was extremely spacious, both great places for capturing the bride and groom. The stunning gardens provide such a great view once you are in the main room and it creates a great background. It is also so versatile for couple portraits, with a pond, bridge, and metal gazebo (which can be used for civil ceremonies) all in close proximity. The walkway with wooden arches also serves as a great spot.

 Indian Wedding and Reception

The day was busy with a hectic itinerary but working closely with the relaxed Anj and Dhruv beforehand helped to ensure all their special moments were captured well, and that the whole day ran smoothly.

A fun and fuss-free day was on the top of the agenda for this beautiful bride and groom. Despite having a busy day with an Indian wedding ceremony, civil ceremony and wedding reception all taking place at the Manor of Groves, the day was chilled out and full of smiles! The groom made his entrance in style with plenty of dancing and fun to get the day started. Both the bride and groom donned amazing, light-coloured outfits which looked even more incredible when surrounded by the beautiful décor from Shagun Weddings. The wooden mandap coupled with the bright orange flowers gave the perfect woodland look to act as a backdrop for Anj and Dhruv’s Indian wedding ceremony.

The civil ceremony was the perfect place for an outfit switch into a smart and indo-western bridal look. Following the civil ceremony, the Indian reception was eagerly awaited by this bubbly couple to get the party started. The Bride was certainly ready for a fun but comfortable night and brought her Skechers along to make sure nothing was stopping her dancing the night away! The speeches had all the guests in hysterics and was the perfect end to a perfect day.

The couple opted to have long tables around the room for their guests to be seated which was different from the norm but worked really well in my opinion. The long tables were dark wood which really complimented the rest of the decor.

I really enjoy being a Wedding photographer at Manor of Groves. Located just outside of London, in the countryside of Hertfordshire. A venue surrounded by lots of greenery and flooded with lots of natural light. Anj & Dhruv chose a wonderful venue for their Civil Wedding & Reception.

Fennes Estate Indian Wedding

The photos themselves were stunning – everything we expected and more. He managed to capture all the little moments and we are so happy we chose him to capture our wedding day.

Kavi & Krish had an intimate wedding taking place during the Covid restrictions. However, neither the Covid wedding restrictions nor the soaring temperatures from the heatwave of the year could stop this couple from having the wedding of their dreams.

The pressure was certainly on with the Bride herself being a talented photographer with a keen eye for detail, she had a clear vision of how she wanted the photographer to capture her big day. The couple had opted for no videographer which meant I was the only one capturing the memories that would be treasured for a lifetime. I’m always determined to catch every emotion but without a videographer capturing the heartfelt vows or the funny speeches, it was up to me to make sure my pictures caught all the weight of the words. It was truly an honour as an Indian wedding photographer to be trusted for such an important task.

 Outdoor Indian Wedding

The couple had both the Indian wedding and civil wedding outdoors, with the civil wedding under a gazebo. The gardens offered a stunning backdrop, whilst the gazebo itself created a spotlight for the couple (and some much-needed shade). The vibrant colours of the Indian wedding suited the greenery of the gardens well, whilst the pond with the iconic white bridge and fountains complimented the beautiful couples outfits perfectly!

Although this was a lockdown wedding, it certainly didn’t feel like one! The joyous day was filled with thirty lively guests, creating enough laughter to fill the whole Fennes venue! With the Father of the Groom being Bollywood Choreographer Jay Kumar, the Jaan’s side showed off their dancing skills throughout the day which is always fun for a wedding photographer.

We explored the entire Fennes grounds, making use of all the beautiful spots inside and out. The rooms within the Manor House each have a unique look which work great for couple portraits. These rooms are also cool which allowed the Bride & Groom to take a break from the heat and work the camera instead to get some gorgeous portraits.

The Reception

Despite restrictions limiting some activities, this clever couple were not short on sweet gestures or entertainment for their guests. Starting with a grand entrance for the Indian wedding reception, each guest was announced as they made their way in which was a pleasure to capture and a lovely way to honour them all. A clever game for an intimate wedding was ‘Who knows the couple best?’ with the Best Man pipping the Mother of the Bride. The entertainment was never going to lack some dancing when Father of the Groom Jay Kumar was around! Guests stood by their seats and followed a dance led by Jay Kumar which was a great way to liven the party up despite all the restrictions. Even the Fennes staff all got involved and had fun!

The marquee in Fennes wedding venue has windows along one side so natural daylight flowed in, providing some real warmth for the pictures which I feel truly represented the warmth and love felt by every guest on the day.

Tewin Bury Farm Indian Wedding

The wedding of Jashmina and Yajur took place at the serene Tewin Bury Farm, a tranquil farm tucked away behind River Mimram and Tewin Nature Reserve on 700 acres of Hertfordshire countryside. Tewin Bury Farm offers a multitude of areas for portraits and overall beautiful backgrounds for Indian weddings

This bubbly couple had their Indian wedding ceremony and reception in The Meadow Barn at Tewin Bury Farm which caters for 450 people seated; the perfect backdrop for their fun but chilled out wedding. The Meadow Barn has an interested history and is one of the most energy efficient venues in Hertfordshire as it’s a 17th century farmhouse dating back to 1931 when it was built as a dairy farm.

As an Indian wedding photographer, I found this venue to be an ideal fit for Jashmina and Yajur’s wedding festivities as the rooms and individually designed and purpose built which allowed us to make the most of the breath-taking surroundings when it came to photographs.

The Indian Wedding

Indian weddings are known for their bright and colourful scenes and this wedding was no exception! Yajur’s family kicked off the day on a high note with coloured flares and a big dancing entrance to ensure all the guests knew he had arrived which really set the fun tone for the day. The upbeat entrance was great to capture with the lively guests smiling away. Jashmina’s side weren’t to be outdone though when the games started; the best man made the error of letting his guard down and failed to protect the Yajur’s nose and Jashmina’s aunt took full advantage. The pinch was wild to say the least and she got the red powder all over his nose that he looked like he was bleeding!

There was no doubt that the room was filled with love for this couple but it was beautiful to witness the true love between the couple themselves too. When the cover was lowered to reveal Jashmina, Yajur was overcome to see his Bride and had the kind of reaction that all Indian wedding photographers love to capture!

This bubbly couple didn’t hold back on the day with anything and when it came to the Phere, Jashmina was determined to sit down first and even did so before the Maraj Ajit Panday has even started the prayers! Poor Yajur was shocked that he didn’t get a fair chance so he made up for it later in the wedding by sitting down first.

 The Reception

The Meadow Barn in Tewin Bury Farm is a blank canvas which is great for completely changing the feel of the venue between the Indian wedding and the reception event. Before the event started, Jashmina and Yajur were able to sneak off and take some couple portraits across the many different options which Tewin Bury Farm offers including the barns, countryside greenery and wooden pagoda.

When it comes to a party, both Jashmina and Yajur’s families know how to have a good time! The shots I was able to capture were priceless as everyone naturally gelled together and had fun.

A dance off ensued between the Bride’s side and the Groom’s but was so enjoyable to see, (aside from the various shapes being thrown!) was the two families come together. There was no idea of who ‘won’ the dance competition as it simply turned into everyone merging into one big group which I felt really signified the joining of two families to celebrate this lovely couple.
